Happy New Year!

Currently I am sitting on my couch, in soft pants, re-watching Battle of the Bastards (as one does when they want to ring in the New Year). I ate some questionable food earlier that has my stomach all in knots. No sparkly dresses or perfect winged eyeliner here! I used to ring in the celebrations with friends, at some bar, wearing all the extra fancies and now I'm just happy to relax on my couch with my dogs. Not that there's anything wrong with the former, I think I'm just happier pleasing ME these days. And that's something I want to take into 2019 for sure (which is incredibly interesting when you run a service-based business).
Though Tower Press is not quite one-year old (coming in March! OMG!), I feel like the entirety of 2018 was dedicated to getting her off the ground. And sometimes she WAS off the ground, flying high and soaring. Other times, she was digging a shallow grave and I was wallowing somewhere in it thinking I've made a huge mistake. I know so many of you can relate. Not to be GRIM, but we all know that running a small business these days is harder than ever. But it's also incredibly satisfying and rewarding. I wouldn't have it any other way.
2018 was the year of Y'ALL. You really came together to support us and keep us going. We had the pleasure of working on so many amazing projects with you, all over the country. Thank you so much for your patience during our trying growing pains too! I definitely did not expect for Tower Press to grow as fast as it has, in just a few months. I am so grateful for each and every one of you.
2019 is going to bring about some changes for Tower Press, and myself personally. I enter my Leadership Program with Harvard Business School in just a few weeks, and I can't wait to apply what I learn towards being a better businesswoman. Tower Press will undergo a few adjustments as well. Leela will be departing as she takes on motherhood and expanding Native Bear. I hope to do some hiring (finally) so that the wheels keep turning smoothly. 2019 will bring quicker lead times, more services, and more ways to connect (more on this another time, y'all know I love dropping breadcrumbs). My goal of a client in every state has ALMOST come true, just 8 more states to go! Which is totally mind-blowing. Thank you for inspiring me to always chase my dreams, keep the grind going, but more important stop and smell those dang roses.
I hope you all have a joyous and peaceful New Year!
