Something we have wanted to do for a long time is make our social channels more about community and y’all! Product shots (and our hands in them) are super fun, but at the end of the day this business was built on collaborative magic. So we’re starting #TPbehindthebrand on Instagram (and will repost here) to introduce you to our amazing clients and their stories. Read below to meet Chris Fafalios of I Love Enamel Pins.
Hey there! My name is Chris Fafalios, and for the past 22 years of my life, I have made music in the band Punchline. Although writing songs and playing my electric bass has been my passion for most of my life, I enjoy all forms of creative expression. One of the things that I REALLY enjoy is drawing cartoons, and a few years back, I taught myself how to do some basic animation by attending classes at the old YOUTUBE UNIVERSITY (haha!) I cut up audio that I found on the internet, and created videos of myself talking on the phone to a whole bunch of celebrities. Some of these videos slightly caught on, which led to being hired to do work for some really cool bands (such as Weezer, Bowling For Soup, and Anti-Flag).
It was around this time that I saw Susannah’s posts about a company she worked for, and one of the things they made was ENAMEL PINS. I’d always wanted to start my own collection of custom pins, but I didn’t know how to go about it. She helped me every step of the way, and the quality of the pins were OUT OF THIS WORLD. I was so excited to hear when she started Tower Press, and I wouldn’t even CONSIDER going anywhere else with my business. I now have an Etsy shop (ILoveEnamelPins.com) and Instagram @iloveenamelpins where I have over 50 designs of pins, all of which would not exist without the help of Susannah and Tower Press.
Having this small business has been such a fun and rewarding experience, and I’m now fully addicted to designing pins and adding them to my store. In fact, I’m literally placing another order as I send this paragraph. If you’ve ever considered bringing your creations to life, I can’t recommend Tower Press highly enough!

In late February of 2018 I left my job of nearly 7 years. I had a routine, knew what to expect every single day, it was easy. I could do it with my eyes closed. But that was the problem. I wasn't being challenged. I was bored. On top of that, I wasn't appreciated and I wasn't being paid fairly. It took a long time, but I was finally able to see that I have value, and if I'm not being valued where I am, I will go somewhere else. So, with very little planning and very little money, I decided to start Tower Press. I didn't do it alone though.
Leela of Native Bear was imperative to those first few months, agreeing to help front a website template and first month's rent at our current location in Georgia. Her initial investment allowed me to take a big leap of faith. I am not kidding when I say I had NO backup plan. I probably only had a few hundred dollars in my bank account. But, I trusted myself and I trusted in my abilities. Going from knowing what to expect all the time to NEVER knowing what to expect any of the time was very, very scary for this Type-A individual.
But, here we are! We did it! We crossed the threshold to the one-year mark, and that's huge! And I didn't do that alone either. That is all Y'ALL! 327 clients spread across 4 different countries. I am grateful for each and every one of you who choose to work with us. Tower Press has really turned into a wonderful community of badass go-getters that I am inspired by every day. We've definitely had to change a little and adapt along the way, but I love this baby business, our commitment to putting the client first, and always offering the most creative services we can.
I don't always have "it" together. Nearly every day I am learning something new about being a businesswoman and better human. There are days I have big cries at my desk and days where I feel like we're on top of the world. I'm thankful for every teaching moment this business has given me, and can't wait for the next 365+ days. I have a lot of BIG goals for us, see you along the way!
PS: Enjoy 15% off all orders placed online with the code BIRTHDAY. You can do this while listening to our Tower Press Birthday Jams playlist!
One of the many perks of building Tower Press is the amazing women we get to work with on a daily basis. Having the honor of creating your branding, merchandise, or just printing some business cards for you is a total dream! This community of badass women is the whole reason why we exist.
Recently, we worked on a project with Dough, a website directory of women-owned businesses. From founders Anna and Vanessa,
"Our mission is to drive purchase power and awareness towards women owned businesses in order to create economic equality. When women rise, we all do. Our vision is to build an inclusive movement, representing all fempreneurs, their stories, and the brands they’ve built in order to create a society where women are equally represented in the boardroom, c-suite, and beyond. "
For this particular project, we worked on 100 screen printed tote bags, designed by Irene Limb. The Dough logo and tag line was screen printed on a 100% cotton / natural tote, which is our most popular option. We also worked on a set of enamel pins, designed by Lyndsey WhosLastNameWeDontKnow, split into three different color-ways. If your design stays the same, you can switch out the colors at no additional charge for pins. We can also do this for screen printing (though there is a small ink change fee in that case).
We also printed pin backing cards. This project came together so beautifully, and it was fun to work with other creative women on bringing their vision and web store to life. After all, that's all we wanna do!
